In the subtle intervals of the soul there is complete knowledge of oneself. It announces its position at every moment so that its intellect does not get confused and forget its nature. We can hear this declaration of the soul clearly by paying a little attention to it. If one pays continuous attention to this sound, then the deposit of nectar which makes this announcement can also be reached by the soul. So, here we will know about the So Hum Mantra.

What is So Hum Mantra?
When one breathes, there is a subtle sound that accompanies the entry of air and is expressed as a word like ‘So’. The longer the breath remains inside, i.e. the natural Kumbhak, the longer the stopping sound of half the ‘A’ is and when the breath comes out, the sound ‘Hum’ comes out. By concentrating on these three sounds, the ‘Soham’ practice of Ajpa-Jaap begins.
So Hum Mantra Meditation Method:
In the morning, perform a routine before sunrise and sit in a quiet place, facing east. Include both hands and keep them in the basin, keep your eyes closed.
As the nostrils begin to draw in air, observe the subtle aorta carefully and notice that a subtle “sleep” sound accompanies the air.
Similarly, focus on the sound of ‘A’ while the breath stops and while you exhale the air.
Likewise, imagine the soul’s dazzling outpouring into the luminous point of the solar cycle at the heart.
When the breath is done and there is a sound of “sleep”, then feel that this point of light is the light of God.
The “S” stands for God, the “Ham” stands for “I”. When the air comes out and there is the sound of “yes”, then feel in the same point of light that “it is me”.
The stopping of the ‘A’ symbolizes the festival of change of mind. In the beginning, the point on this heart chakra is considered as Brahma at the time of the sound ‘So’ and in the same way, the perception of ‘yes’ becomes a living spirit. A period of ‘holiday’ has been planned to change this feeling.
Similarly, when the air is finished, the air goes out and the new air comes in, at that time it also gives a chance to remove the mind and change the mind in that point. These two festivals are similar to ‘A’, but their sound is not heard. The word ‘So’ is only ‘Om’.
So” is the reflection of Brahma, “7” is the representative of nature, “Hu” is the symbol of an organism. The integration of Brahma, nature and Jiva takes place in this Ajpa-Japa. The three Mahakaranas are brought together in the sadhana of Sohna, which enables the golden opportunity of self-awakening to become available simultaneously.
